The West side of Maui has a great diversity of lovely, white sand beaches. Snorkeling is excellent at Honolua Bay and Blackrock on South Ka'anapali Beach but snorkeling is very nice anywhere the water is clear which is best in the mornings before the trade winds pick up. Surfing is also excellent at Honolua Bay where winter swells and the excellent surfers put on quite a show. Surf competitions are held here at times as well.

       DT Fleming Beach, Kapalua, Napili Bay and Ka'anapali Beaches are wonderful white sand beaches with great beach walking, swimming, boogie boarding, fishing and even kite surfing and surfing when the big storm swells and winds are cooperating.
